Sarafian pulled another burner phone from a box and dialled the number Hayk had written on his hand. The phone rang four times, but eventually someone picked up.

“Who is this?” Sarafian asked.

“Lithgow.”

“You know who this is?”

“Err … no … yes … kind of.”

“We need to shut down. You need to collect the hunters, finish off the contestants and get the hell out of there.”

“Err … what about the chopper? What about—”

“If it’s money you’re concerned about, don’t be. Get this sorted and you’ll be rewarded.”

“It’s not that. We’ve lost contact with Green and Pratt.”

“The comms are down. We’ve run into some technical difficulties, and we need to close everything down. Now do as I say.”
